Forklift Hire in Margate

Local to Margate

Built for a town that's always building

Margate runs on tourism and trade. Hospitality is the biggest employer here, and the retail strip serving both residents and holidaymakers keeps a steady flow of stock moving through back-of-house and delivery yards.

What has really changed the demand for lifting gear is construction. Holiday homes and retirement estates have been a genuine growth sector along this stretch of the Hibiscus Coast, helped by the improved N2 link, and the upgraded and reopened Margate Airport has brought a fresh round of investment and building work. Every one of those sites needs pallets of brick, block, tile, cement and roofing shifted off a truck and placed where the trade can reach it.

That is where a hire forklift pays for itself. Rather than tie up capital in a machine that sits idle between projects, a builder or merchant hires a rough-terrain-capable unit for the weeks it's needed and hands it back. Retailers and hospitality suppliers hire a compact diesel or electric unit to clear a big delivery, then let it go.

Margate is a short run down the coast from our Port Shepstone base, so delivery and collection are straightforward — book a day ahead for anything sizeable and we'll schedule the drop. Tell us the heaviest load and the height you're placing it at, and we'll send a machine matched to the job rather than whatever's on the truck.
